Your IP Address is:
|What else your IP reveals right now.|
This page shows, step by step, with video and images, how to easily use a proxy server change/hide your IP address while surfing the internet with the Firefox browser. This instructional is specifically for Firefox version 41.0.1 so if you are using a different version of Firefox exact images may vary slightly.
❶ In the Firefox browser menu bar click Tools ➲ Options. Firefox should open a new browser tab displaying Firefox options.
❷ Select Advanced.
❸ Select Network.
❹ Next to Connection: Configure how Firefox connects to the Internet click the Settings button.
❺ A Connection Dialog box will appear. Check/select Manual Proxy Configuration.
❻ In the text box next to HTTP Proxy: enter the IP address of the proxy server. In the text box next to Port enter the port number of the proxy server. This number is usually either 80, 8080, 1080 or 3128 but other port number are sometimes used.
❼ Press the OK button to save proxy server settings and close the Connection Settings dialog box.
❽ Before closing the tab for Firefox options it might be a good idea to test the proxy server to make sure it works and it is fast enough. Public proxy IP:Port combinations, quite often, are either slow and don't connect at all so it may take trying several different proxy server IP:Port combinations to find one that works satisfactorily.
❶ Follow steps ❶ - ❹ above How to use Proxy Server with Firefox to Change IP Address.
❷ Select No Proxy.
❸ Press the OK button to save these settings and close the dialog box.
